Tens of thousands protesters took to the streets of London and other cities across the United Kingdom on Tuesday, 4th June 2019 to demonstrate against President Trump on the second day of his official state visit.
Those protesting included Trump impersonators, women dressed as handmaids from Margaret Atwood’s novel “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
President Trump told a press conference:
“When you’re dealing with trade, everything is on the table. So, NHS or anything else. There are a lot more than that. So everything will be on the table. Absolutely.”
Labour’s Leader, Jeremy Corbyn reacted quickly tweeting
Theresa May stood next to @realDonaldTrump as he said the NHS will be "on the table" in a US trade deal. And that’s what Tory leadership contenders and Farage are lining up for the No Deal disaster capitalism plans they have.
They all need to understand: our NHS is not for sale.

Do not protest today and when he leaves tomorrow think that Trump has gone – Trumpism is alive and kicking in the UK.
The same politics of hate are peddled by his disciples – Farage and Johnson – and we must consign it dustbin of reactionary history. #TrumpProtest pic.twitter.com/DubdVxxZbx

Don’t forget to sign the petition, it’s time to act now:
Trump has laid it out. Predatory US health corporations want to start shredding our #NHS. We’re not going to let them. Pls sign and pass on to everyone. https://t.co/DBE7vFeGk0
