No stone unturned for better transport

Councillor Alan Hall pledged this week to leave ‘no stone un-turned’ for a comprehensive review of public transport in Lewisham should he become Mayor of Lewisham.

Last year the Labour Mayoral Candidate created a brand new Public Transport Liaison Committee attended by representatives from TfL and bus and train companies to find ways they can improve services to Lewisham residents.

“The next stage is to have a comprehensive review of public transport in Lewisham. I will leave no stone unturned to find what are the best public transport services we could possibly have and then we will lobby and push unceasingly for those improvements to be made.

“We want a transport of delight for Lewisham residents who deserve better and the best.”

“In the meantime we must lobby and persuade TfL and the Mayor of London to see the Bakerloo Line extension through to its natural conclusion and have them continue the extension to Lewisham to serve the residents down the spine of Lewisham borough through Ladywell, Catford Bridge and Lower Sydenham stations.”
